Veterans Day Got Good Coverage

By Mark Smith

PHILADELPHIA -   This past Veterans Day got good major local press coverage.  Although there were no visible cameras on November 11th, where Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell and Philly Mayor John Street, paid tribute and remembrance at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington Square, for Our deceased Veterans.  Media, PA got excellent coverage as Ed McMahon was in the parade. Media has the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum there along with a large parade that tops the state.

As long as Veterans Day gets recognized, it is a good day.

I did hear a news correspondent mention that 'we should thank a veteran if we see one' [on Veterans Day].  Actually, that should be everyday, and especially on Memorial Day, since the Veteran is alive for one to thank. Specifically, on Veterans Day, the Nation along with its citizens, remember those that gave their lives, the 'ultimate sacrifice' in defense of Our nation.( I had to get that in there).

'Thanks for remembering those that answered the final call.'

I got some video that I took at the Philadelphia Veterans Day Remembrance but I got upload problems with big files and hopefully will be able to send it up tomorrow.
