announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers
should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise

    Name of Product: Children's Airwalk(R) Compel Shoes

    Units: About 690,000

    Manufacturer: Payless ShoeSource, Inc., of Topeka, Kan.

    Hazard: Plastic rivets used to attach the strap to the shoe can detach,
    posing a choking hazard to young children.

    Incidents/Injuries: Payless has received one report of a child who began
    to choke on a detached rivet.  No injuries have been reported.

    Description: This recall involves Airwalk(R) Compel clog shoes sold in
    prewalk sizes 3 through toddler size 10.  The flexible shoes have air
    ventilation holes on the top and side and plastic rivets with the
    Airwalk(R) logo attached to the strap.  Airwalk(R) and the shoe size are
    printed on the sole of the shoe.  No other sizes, styles or models are
    included in this recall.

    Sold at: Payless ShoeSource and Pamida stores nationwide and Payless.com
    from August 2006 through early April 2007 for about $13.

    Manufactured in: China

    Remedy: Consumers should take the shoes away from young children
    immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a refund or
    exchange.

certain bibs manufactured by Hamco and sold exclusively at Wal-Mart Stores
in Illinois from June, 2004 through March, 2007:

    Bibs (UPC No. 01468152705)           Bibs contain two bibs per unit, each
                                         with a textile back, laminated with
                                         clear plastic front and having a
                                         clear plastic pocket at the bottom of
                                         the front of the bib.  The textile
                                         backing, visible through the clear
                                         plastic lamination, is imprinted with
                                         multiple patterns and colors.


    Baby Connection 7-Pack Feeder        The Baby Connection 7-Pack Feeder
    Bibs (UPC No. 01468151077)           Bibs contains seven bibs per unit,
                                         each with a textile terry cloth
                                         front, and white plastic sewn to the
                                         back.  The textile terry cloth front
                                         comes in multiple colors with
                                         multiple embroidered prints.

    The vinyl material on some of these bibs may contain lead in excess of
Illinois limits for products intended to be used by children.
    "We will continue to cooperate fully with the Illinois Attorney
General's office to ensure that customers who purchased these items receive
a replacement of full refund," said Mia Masten, director of corporate
affairs for the Midwest. "We have committed to work with the Illinois
Attorney General, other government agencies, industry associations,
manufacturers and other retailers to develop and support new industry
standards for the
    elimination of vinyl in children's products. We have had no reports of
incidents or injuries surrounding these bibs."
    Approximately 60,000 units have been sold in Illinois.
    Illinois consumers who purchased any of these bibs can return the bibs
to their local Wal-Mart Store for a full refund or obtain a free
replacement by:

        through Friday to obtain a free replacement; or

    Hazard: The lithium-ion batteries can overheat, posing a fire hazard to

    Incidents/Injuries: As announced previously, there have been 16 reports
of notebook batteries overheating. These reports were associated with
earlier recalls by other notebook computer manufacturers of batteries
containing these Sony cells. These previous reports involved only minor
property damage and two minor burns. None of these reports involved
batteries in Acer notebook computers.
