Their object of concern was not Hillary Clinton but instead, the Bush Administration's policy in Iraq and Veterans' issues. Congressman Murphy related Senator Obama's grandfather's WWII experience to his [Obama's] leadership Senator Kerry was concerned with certain people in the Bush Administration wanting to start a war with Iran.. Most were expecting Senator Obama would perhaps pop-in but that didn't happen. The event felt pretty much under wraps.
There were a few dignitaries at the event including the American Legion's Past Department Commander, Bob Shalala; Past Department Commander, Terry D. Lewis and current Department Assistant Sergeant-At-Arms, Past 1st District Commander, Marshall Houston. One audience member handed-out pamphlet's indicating that Obama has superior wisdom.
