MIAMI, May 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital(R), the world's premier pediatric cancer research center, will
celebrate its fifth annual FedEx/St. Jude Angels & Stars Gala on Saturday,
May 19 at The Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Miami. Model and
television personality Daisy Fuentes will serve as the celebrity chair for
the fifth consecutive year.
The gala will feature live performances by legendary singer-songwriter
and Grammy(R) Award winner Jose Feliciano, pop singer and multi-platinum
recording artist who is now releasing his first ranchero-regional Mexican
album Cristian Castro, Grammy(R) Award winning Cuban singer and composer
Albita, and number one Billboard(R) ranked pop-tropical singer Fanny Lu.
Hosting the evening is CBS4 News weekend anchor and entertainment reporter
Jade Alexander.
The evening's activities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail
reception featuring a high-end silent auction. The ceremony will include
testimonial by a St. Jude patient survivor, live performances and an
elegant dinner.
