Recruiters Celebrate U.S. Army Birthday with Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders

PHILADELPHIA, PA,  June 14 - U.S. Army Captain, Terri Webb, of the Philadelphia Recruiting Command hosted a Birthday Celebration in her Recruiting Office for the Army's 232nd Anniversary (it's also Flag Day),  located in the Roosevelt Mall on Cottman Ave., in Northeast Philly.

Click picture below for video footage:

Captain Webb, said, "American Soldiers have always been willing to put their boots on the ground and fight for the freedoms and way of life we enjoy...Freedom is certainly not free... As is this new century dawns the American Soldier was sent to destroy an enemy that struck our homeland on September 11, 2001... Our soldiers continue to volunteer and answer the call to duty...

(L-R) Jamie; Legionnaire Mark and Stephanie

Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders, Stephanie and Jamie,  were there to help celebrate and give autographs. They were great conversationalists. So smart as they covered a wide-array of current events. It was so nice to be there with them. My military readers in the zone will be glad to see them, too.

Philly's Finest from the 2nd District were also on-hand to show support.

PA State Representative, Thomas Murt, (R) of the 152nd Legislative District, was also in attendance and gave an appreciative speech to those currently serving and a few recruits at the station (see video). State Rep. Murt said, "You made an important decision that will benefit you and this country for the rest of your life". State Rep. Murt praised the Army and its mission. State Rep. Murt is on the State Veterans Affairs Committee and is also an Educator.

Thanks for Serving.
